What Every Organization Leader Needs to Know About IT Security helps busy non-technical organization leaders (CEO, Executive Directors, Managing Partners etc) to understand what they need to know as an owner and operator of an IT system. From the solo legal practitioner to the large medical practitioner, it is imperative that the leader have some logical, reasonable basis for every IT security decision that is made. As a fiduciary, the organizations leader, you can be held personally liable in the event that a system intrusion results in legal liability to any affected third party. You will come away from this class with a need understanding of the importance of IT security, how it differs from IT operations and how to make better decisions in this critical area of organizational existence.
INFORMATION SECURITY ESSENTIALS
This course features instructor-led, hands-on training to fast-track your skill development in the areas of IT most relevant to information security. This course is for anyone who’s job touches information security from, technicians to corporate officers.
Clear presentations, focused labs, and plenty of Q&A, make highly efficient use of your time toward skill acquisition for career advancement and corporate agility. ISL1 delivers training and labs in over a dozen industry standard techniques.
Basic understanding of material covered by A+, Net+, and Sec+, though students do not need to be certified in these areas. Rudimentary understanding of: workstations, servers, databases, and network hardware. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux.

ADVANCED INFORMATION SECURITY PRACTICUM
The Cyber Security course package is designed to produce security professionals who have a total understanding of organizational security policy, risk management, vulnerability analysis, threat identification and the reasons why controls are selected.
It prepares the student to select the proper controls required to mitigate risk, implement those controls, and select the appropriate tools to perform ongoing security analysis and monitoring.
